What is the Driver Card?
The Driver Card is a full-screen card on your phone showing your trip details in large, easy-to-read Lao script. Even if you don't speak a word of Lao, the driver can see exactly where you want to go and what you've agreed to pay.
Step by step
- Choose your destination on this site — from an attraction page (e.g. Wat Phou, Tad Fane), a transport hub or the Fare Calculator.
- Enter the number of passengers and the vehicle or boat type; the site suggests a fair price range.
- Tap "Show Driver Card".
- Show it to the driver before you get in or board.
- Get in only once the driver nods or otherwise confirms.
- Take a screenshot as a record.
Price-Lock quotes
With a verified driver you can request a Price-Lock quote and receive a booking code tied to a price the driver has already accepted — ideal for full-day charters to the Bolaven Plateau or Wat Phou.
QR badge on verified vehicles
Scan it to check the driver's name and photo, the plate number (it should match the vehicle in front of you) and the approved prices. If anything doesn't match, don't get in — and let us know.
Tips
- Turn your screen brightness up in daylight.
- Take screenshots before heading to the islands or up the plateau, where signal can be weak.
- Point at the price and ask "maen bor?" (right?) to double-check.
